Raja Ram Mohan Roy (1772–1833)

Roy was one of India’s earliest modern humanist reformers. He campaigned against sati, child marriage, and caste discrimination and founded the Brahmo Samaj. His vision of reason, ethics, and social reform shaped modern Indian secularism.
